DIGISEQ Set to Unlock Visa Tokenisation as Demand for Payments via Wearables Soars

London, UK. [05/09/2025] – DIGISEQ, a global leader in wearable payment technology, is set to launch Visa tokenisation support in Q4 2025, enabling the instant provisioning of Visa cards onto a wide range of DIGISEQ-powered wearable devices. This development is a key milestone in DIGISEQ’s mission to make seamless, secure tap-to-pay functionality available through any object – from fashion accessories and smart jewellery to custom bracelets and rings.

Thanks to DIGISEQ’s mobile personalisation solution, RCOS™ and the Visa Digital Wallet Enabler Solution (VDWE), Visa payment tokens can be seamlessly provisioned to the consumer’s wearable item of choice via their own smartphone to enable contactless payments. Resulting in a genuine off the shelf experience and, via DIGISEQ’s white label app solution, enabling Visa issuing partners the opportunity to build the full experience into their own customer app. This opens up the opportunity for Visa issuing banks to offer customers a range of payment options to suit their needs and their budgets, whilst keeping the bank’s brand at the forefront of innovation, security and unrivalled convenience.

With this milestone, DIGISEQ strengthens its position at the centre of the wearable ecosystem – connecting issuers, brands, product creators, chip manufacturers, and retailers through a single trusted platform.

Angela Davies, Commercial Director at DIGISEQ, commented: “By enabling Visa tokenisation across our ecosystem, we’re giving partners the ability to deliver frictionless, secure payments via objects people already wear and love. With certified inlays and global compatibility, DIGISEQ makes it possible to go from concept to contactless in record time.”

DIGISEQ’s tokenisation approach uses the same Secure Element technology trusted by leading digital wallets like Apple Pay, offering advanced protection and remote management. Tokens can be frozen, reactivated, or deleted independently of the underlying card, giving consumers flexibility and peace of mind.

The company’s growing library of pre-certified inlays – available for rings, bracelets, cards, keyfobs and more – makes it easy for brands and issuers to enter the wearable market without navigating lengthy approval cycles.

DIGISEQ has been supporting Mastercard token provisioning for over 5 years now but with this important scheme expansion to Visa and the increasing consumer appetite for frictionless payments, DIGISEQ is primed to lead the next wave of wearable growth across fashion, fitness, festivals, and beyond.
